Frysja

Maru and Paola just finished uploading their latest short movie, Frysja, and I think it turned out very well! Who needs a budget when you’ve got such great friends?

It’s released under a CC license. Go see it. Sadly, we couldn’t find a way to edit it using Free Software. Maybe some other time…

Why not give OpenShot a go? It’s filled my video editing needs quite nicely, and has an ever-expanding list of features.

    Best of luck!

Nice short Hans Petter. It was very well done.

Ben: I looked at it briefly, but it seemed a bit simplistic for Paola and Maru’s needs. I don’t know much about editing, though… If we can find the time, we’ll take a closer look soon :)

Gary: Thanks! (TBH, I had very little to do with it - I just pedaled the “bike cam” and covered some minor expenses).

Oh…I forgot to mention it was a great short too! Hah…oops.

Also, I’m sure you’re aware of PiTiVi as well for video editing? It’s not quite as ‘feature packed’ as OpenShot, but its more gnome-centric I think.

    Heh. Glad you liked it!

I’m aware of PiTiVi, but couldn’t make it run when I tried due to packaging/dependency problems. Shouldn’t be a problem with a little time investment, though.

The simplest solution might be to help them set up the openSUSE Multimedia Studio or some other media-oriented spinoff distro.
